Why that size for a Corgi

By weight, a Corgi sits in the 26 to 40 pound band, a 30-inch crate. A smaller Pembroke near 22 pounds could fit 24 inches, but Corgis are long for their weight, so 30 inches is the size that keeps room to stretch.

Cardigan Welsh Corgis run a bit bigger, typically 25 to 38 pounds: still 30 inches. Measure a grown Corgi to check: length plus 4 inches should be 30 or less.

The weight bands follow the crate chart PetMD publishes; the plus-4-inches rule is the one Chewy and crate maker MidWest give. Breed weights are typical adult ranges and vary from dog to dog. Sizes here are lengths; widths differ by brand.
